Why Choose Coach Lisa? There are numerous reasons why I’m qualified to be your Leadership Coach! Here’s just a few: I started my marketing agency when I was 25 years-old, and during my 20 years of running my company, I managed, motivated, lead, and mentored a wide variety of employees; I have officially and unofficially coached and mentored business professionals (not just my employees) for 20 years; I have received my Professional Coach Training through the International Coach Academy – an ICF accredited program; and my new book “Millennials Into Leadership”, will be published in the fall of 2009. During Our Sessions Together I Will: Listen “Actively”: I focus on what you’re saying, what you’re not saying, and what you’re trying to say. A good coach listens fully, focuses on YOU, and knows how to get the best out of YOU. It’s all about empowering you to get ahead! Openly Share: Once you have fully communicated your thoughts, I share with you my comments, ideas, and views on your situation(s), formulate next steps to consider, and (often) assign “homework” that will support the path we’ve chosen. Support & Enthuse: My purpose is to support you, yet pushback when necessary. I want the best possible outcome(s) for you and sometimes “tough love & reality checks” are required. And, my other goal is to “enthuse” you! You need to be excited, enthusiastic and committed to our process. Again…it’s really ALL ABOUT YOU! Provide Effective Feedback: I’m not a big fan of “constructive criticism”. That tends to be a one-sided dialogue – one I’m sure you’ve experienced with managers you have/had. Providing “effective feedback” opens the door for better communication, problem solving, and achieving your goals. Ask A Lot of Questions: I ask a lot of questions. All good coaches do. I need to dig, dig, and dig some more! Many times the root of an obstacle you’re facing isn’t obvious…so we keep digging until we know the answer…and then we’ll formulate a solution(s)! KEY POINT: Currently, professional training and certification are NOT required to become “a coach”. Only 50% of practicing coaches are “certified”. However, I chose to enroll in a rigorous, intensive, 12-month Professional Coach Certification Program – accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF is the peak body for coach certification). Requiring “certification” is actively being discussed in the industry today.
